Description
MAXweld GW3 is a medium-strength anaerobic adhesive for securing (locking) threads against loosening. It tolerates greasy surfaces.
It secures all types of metal threaded connections. Used for connections that require later disassembly with standard tools.
After curing, it provides excellent resistance to solvents, oils, and high temperatures. Its thixotropic viscosity prevents the adhesive from dripping off the thread during application.
Also recommended for inactive metals such as: aluminum, inox – stainless steel and galvanized steel.
Instructions for Use
- Prepare the surface if required.
For best results, degrease the surface with a degreaser and wait for it to dry. - If the metal or plastic is inactive or if you’re using the adhesive at temperatures below 5°C, apply an anaerobic adhesive activator AC9 beforehand.
- Shake the bottle before application and apply an appropriate amount to the surface of the
internal or external thread. - Assemble the parts with the appropriate required torque.
- Wait for full curing before applying full load.
